1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the SMRT Box™ mobile application ("App") or purchasing SMRT Box products, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App or purchase our products.

SMRT Box™ is a product and trademark of SMRT Solutions, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our").

2. Description of Service

SMRT Box is a self-storage organization system consisting of:

  • QR Code labels that you apply to your storage boxes
  • A mobile application for scanning labels, taking photos, and organizing your belongings
  • Optional AI-powered tagging features

3. Account Registration

To use the App, you must create an account using a valid email address. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. QR Code Labels

Ownership and Use

  • QR Code labels are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only
  • Each label is uniquely tied to your account upon first scan
  • Labels may not be resold, transferred, or shared with others

Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Counterfeit, copy, or reproduce SMRT Box labels
  • Attempt to decode, reverse engineer, or manipulate QR Code data
  • Use labels for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Resell labels or transfer them to third parties

5. Intellectual Property

Trademarks

The following are trademarks or pending trademarks of SMRT Solutions, LLC:

  • SMRT Box™ (name)
  • SMRT Box logo
  • "Sort Your Life"™ (slogan)

You may not use these trademarks without our prior written consent.

App Content

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, images, and software, is the property of SMRT Solutions, LLC and is protected by copyright laws.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of photos and content you create using the App. By using AI tagging features, you grant us a limited license to process your images for the purpose of generating tags. Images are processed and immediately deleted—we do not store your photos on our servers.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Hack, exploit, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or our systems
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use the App to transmit malware or malicious code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

8. Purchases and Refunds

Label purchases are processed securely through Stripe. All sales are final. However, if you receive damaged or defective labels, contact us at support@thesmrtbox.com within 30 days for a replacement or refund.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SECURE.

AI tagging features are provided for convenience and may not be 100% accurate. You are responsible for verifying and editing tags as needed.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMRT SOLUTIONS, LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SERVICES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for SMRT Box products in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

12. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@thesmrtbox.com.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
